Making A Life

This past week the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with their children, were in BC for a visit. I am not normally a Royal fan but since there were in town I figured I would get in on the action. They were sailing past our house, and it didn’t take much effort to walk to the end of the block. My seven-year-old son wanted to see what a Duke and Duchess looked like so he joined me. While we were waiting for their tall ship to appear he played at the beach.

Once we spotted the Pacific Grace, we walked toward downtown stopping in a few places to take pictures. Lots of other people were out as well, many with binoculars, flags and cameras. We were able to see the royal couple talking to their hosts on the ship, and they appeared to be very engaged in conversation.

We decided to walk to the dock where they were expected to disembark to see if we could get a better view. We joined a group of people over looking the inner harbour close to where their vehicles were parked. As they drove past we were able to get a close look at Royal couple as they went off to their next destination.
